From the Desk of Mrs. Day
We are now fully into production of our wonderful Nutcracker. Since I
am always trying to teach the dancers the importance of trying hard to
always improve, I also am constantly striving to improve on my end to
show off your dancers' abilities with updated choreography and a more
dazzling production. I know with school and other activities people have
a lot going on this time of year. However, we need to put Nutcracker rehearsals
and our children's classes as a top priority. I was a bit disappointed
at the high amount of absences already on our first rehearsal. I would
like to remind parents that with winter weather bringing colds and out
of town visitors, SAVE your 2 absences until they are absolutely necessary.
Better yet, don't count on missing at all. It only makes your students
suffer because they fall behind. Please view the 2 excused absences as
a safety net and not 2 free passes to miss rehearsal. You will be very
happy when you see a confident child, hey dancing in front of 800+ people
is a BIG DEAL! I want all of our kids to feel well prepared and showing
their best!
HAVE YOU SOLD ANY CANDLES?!
This fundraiser is VERY important! It allows us to add to our already
beautiful costumes and scenes. Its so easy! Get a form from the lobby
and make a goal of selling 5 candles. I have given them as teachers gifts
and they smell so wonderful, I even used them last year to enhance the
holiday ambience around my house. The top 3 sales
people will get to have lunch with me and #1 will also get a wonderful
prize from the local dance shops!
Spotlight On Our Dancers
This month, the Attitude News is featuring Miss Shana Kotsiris, one of
the Company Members and beloved dancer at ABAC! She is a beautiful dancer
and lovely young lady, as well as a talented poet! Here is her special
contribution to the newsletter this month:
to play is ballet
ballet is to play the part
to sway is ballet
ballet is to dance with ur heart
to move is ballet
ballet is to play the instrument of self
to breathe is ballet
ballet is to live, ballet is for health
Are you overwhelmed with your childrens’ homework, hobbies, and
to-and-froms?
I am the answer to your problems! I have been babysitting and caring for
children for many years. I have watched Mrs. Sara's children since they
were babies, and I am looking forward to relieving your stress as busy
parents. I am looking to nanny for a family two-three days a week. I look
forward to helping with homework, and picking your children up from school!
I am available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Please let me
know if this sounds accommodating for you and your family! I am experienced
with all ages!!
Thank you
